class=\"wp-caption-text\">Michael Lockwood, Trombone<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Trombonist Michael Lockwood<\/strong>\u00a0is a versatile and passionate musician that understands the role of the trombone in many different genres.\u00a0 This has led him to a wide range of concert experiences including performing with acclaimed jazz trombonist\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wycliffegordon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wycliffe Gordon<\/a>, opening for Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and performing in China in 2011 with the KSU Symphony Orchestra.\u00a0 Mr. Lockwood has held principal positions in both the Wind Ensemble and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kennesaw.edu\/music\/orchestra.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">Symphony Orchestra at Kennesaw State University<\/a>\u00a0where he is currently a Senior studying trombone performance under\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/trombonelessons.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Tom Gibson<\/a>.\u00a0 In 2010, he was selected as a finalist for the KSU Concerto Competition.\u00a0 He attended\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brasssymposium.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Brass Symposium<\/a>\u00a0in the summers of 2011 and 2012 as well as the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/music.columbusstate.edu\/trombone\/STS.php\" target=\"_blank\">Southeast Trombone Symposium<\/a>\u00a0in 2012 where he participated in masterclasses with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.metoperafamily.org\/metopera\/index.aspx?\" target=\"_blank\">New York Metropolitan Opera<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.densonpaulpollard.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Trombonist Denson Paul Pollard<\/a>.\u00a0 He most recently attended the 2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bostonbrass.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Brass<\/a>\u00a0Music Camp.\u00a0 Michael is a member of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/spectaclebrass.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Spectacle Brass<\/a>, an Atlanta based brass quintet which has participated in masterclasses from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bostonbrass.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Brass<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cso.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chicago Symphony Orchestra<\/a>\u00a0Brass Quintet.\u00a0 Mr.
