Hornist David Anders is an up-and-coming musician in the Greater Atlanta area. David realized his calling to be a performing musician in high school when he and his fellow classmates were invited to perform at the prestigious Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. Since then he has passionately pursued this calling and has performed in a variety of musical settings ranging from the Harrower Opera Institute to performing on stage with the band Kansas. He has performed in numerous arts venues including the Bailey Performance Center, the Cobb Energy Centre, Gwinnett Performing Arts Centre and the Cox Auditorium at the University of Tennessee. He is currently entering his junior year at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia where he is principal horn in both the KSU Symphony Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble. He is also a member of Atlanta-area brass quintet Spectacle Brass. David is studying horn performance with Thomas Witte of the Atlanta Symphony and most recently with Chris Castellanos of Boston Brass. His latest endeavors include performing extensively with Spectacle Brass and traveling to Gunnison, Colorado to study with the Boston Brass and perform in the Crested Butte Music Festival.
